Meet The Team

Hello! I'm Mel

Director

I'm Mel, the co-founder and director of Goldups Lane. My career began venue-side, working with venues and groups such as AEG, ATG, and HQ Theatres, before I moved into London’s West End, where I worked agency-side. A meaningful chapter followed in the charity sector, working with a children’s organisation, before I launched my self-employed career. This eventually led me to co-found Goldups Lane, bringing together my experience across live events, marketing, graphic design, and creative strategy all under one roof.

Among my notable projects, I was the Executive Producer of Neighbours: The Celebration Tour, followed by the Neighbours 40th Tour, large-scale fan experiences that brought iconic stories and communities to life in unforgettable ways.

Outside of Goldups Lane, my most important job is being a wife and mum to my little boy, our dog Duke, and three mischievous cats: Bruce, Chase, and Gordon.
I’m a passionate DIY-er, crafty problem-solver, and full-time enthusiast for finding smart, scrappy ways to make things happen. Whether I’m building a brand, a campaign, or an actual flat-pack wardrobe, it’s all good fun.

I’m also a proud late-diagnosed neurodivergent, something that shapes my work in powerful ways, giving me a unique lens for solving problems, connecting patterns, and seeing big-picture possibilities others might miss.

A few things I can’t live without:
Coke Zero (cold can, always).
A desk stocked with Post-its, a great pen, and a collection of fidget toys.
And the memory of my all-time favourite theatre trip — The Lord of the Rings Musical at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2008. It was out of this world.
